During the holidays, we have bought turkeys and given them away so more families can sit down to a Thanksgiving meal. We have also adopted several families at Christmastime, helping with food, clothing, and gifts when money was tight. Stories That Shape Our Culture

Some moments stay with us and shape how we see our role in the community. One Christmas, our family helped organize a celebration for about 100 families in a community in Mexico, near El Cardenas. A caravan of around 40 vehicles drove down, loaded with presents, clothing, blankets, and other essentials. Many of the people we met had basic needs that most of us take for granted.

On that trip, a simple act spoke louder than any speech. Our founder had given his daughter a new jacket for Christmas. While they were there, she noticed a girl her own age standing nearby, shivering in the cold. She asked if she could give away her new jacket. The answer was simple: it was her jacket to give. She took it off and handed it to the other girl. They did not share a language, but both understood the gesture. Moments like that remind us why we give and how important it is to pass that spirit on to the next generation.

A Family Fund Built for Long-Term Impact

To make sure this culture of giving continues, our founder created the Ronald de Martin Family Fund. The fund began with a contribution of $750,000 and later received another $300,000, bringing it to more than $1 million. Through the Arizona Community Foundation, the fund distributes roughly $50,000 to $60,000 each year to support charitable causes. The goal is for this giving to continue indefinitely as a living legacy of the values that guide our family and our business.

Just as we plan our pest management programs with long-term protection in mind, we also approach community giving with a long view. We aim to support efforts that help families get through difficult times and move forward with a little more stability and hope.
